Computer Assisted Learning
Today's children grow up thinking of the computer the way their parents thought of the pen. Parents who understand this tool are better able to appreciate and provide for the needs of their child's modern day education. In response to these needs, the Chesnie Cooper Educational Centre is now offering private and group instruction in computer skills to both parents and children.
Private Instruction
Parents or children are offered plain language, custom tailored, one-on-one instruction sessions based on their current level of understanding and need. Students have the opportunity to learn at their own pace and acquire skills that will satisfy their individual interests.
Group Instruction
Group instruction is offered in a variety of formats. The Catch Your Kids program is designed to provide parents with the necessary skills to assist their children in the day to day tasks that will be required throughout their educational experience.
Our Head Start program gives children an early opportunity to develop skills and techniques for using the computer environment. The skills acquired in these courses will enable children to complete assignments and projects required during their scholastic endeavours.
The Chesnie Cooper Quality Time program offers a unique opportunity for parents and children to explore the world of computers together, as a team. Each parent and child team will work together to complete tasks and projects using Windows95® and WordPerfect 6.1®.
