dEcode™ Math
Over the twenty-five
years Dr. Cooper has worked with individuals manifesting difficulties in
reading, she realized that many of these students required the same approach
to learning for their math skills.
She discovered that
many students, even at the Grade 8 level, did not have their basic fundamental
skills of adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. Since the traditional
methods taught did not enable students to retain these facts, 123 dEcode™Math
was developed. No higher level math can be learned without one's multiplication
facts.
Dr. Cooper further
discovered that computational skills alone were not enough to teach all
the other sub-areas within the math curriculum. She therefore began developing
the rule-based system that symbolizes all the programs we utilize in The
dEcode™ Learning Centre, many of which are for sale through our website.
